Breskens naturist beach

The seaside resort of Breskens is located in the province of Zeeland, in the south of the Netherlands, at some km of Belgium.

Breskens is part of the Dutch commune Sluis. It has almost 5000 inhabitants.

Between the highlights in and around Breskens, we think particularly at :

- The North Sea and the sandy beaches.
- The seaside resort Cadzand-Bad.
- The town Terneuzen and its jazz festival.
- The town of Sluis.

1 Drive to the street "Walendijk" along the coast until the beach entries nr. 23 and nr. 24.

2 Park on the big car park "Parkeerplaats Walendijk" along the road. It is with charge from the 15th March to the 15th November, every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 1 € per hour in 2019. It you think to stay more than 4 hours, take the "dagkaart" (day card) at 4 €. You need to have some change, because the pay terminal does not give back money !

3 Walk off the car park by the central exit on the dune side. Take the stairs upwards, at the right of the big board "23 Zwarte Gat".

4 Walk some metres until a little crossroad with a little bicylce parking on the left. Continue straight ahead to reach quickly the beach at the bar-restaurant "Beachhouse 25". Then, walk to the right to find about one hundred metres farther a big white board indicating the begin of the naturist area.

It is written in Dutch : "Naaktrecreatie als bedoeld in artikel 430a Wetboek van Strafrecht op grond van artikel 5.49.lid 1 Algemene Plaatselijke Verordening is uitsluitend toegestaan tussen de paalhoofden 20 en 23 (Walendijk) te Groede. Uitgezonderd deze (op het strand met borden aangeduide) locatie is naaktrecreatie in de gemeente Sluis niet toegestaan".
Which means in English "The practise of naturism in the sense of the article 430a of the Penal code based on the article 5.49. paragraphe 1 of the local general regulation is only authorized between the signposts 20 and 23 (Walendijk) in Groede. Except from this (on the beach with signboards indicated) location, nudism is not authorized in the commune of Sluis".
